RAID data recovery
RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 on servers, desktop RAID enclosures and NAS units: Dell PowerEdge, HPE ProLiant, Lenovo, Supermicro, LaCie 2big, G-RAID, Windows Storage Spaces, Linux mdadm and ZFS.
Common RAID failures
- Two drives failed in a RAID 5
- A rebuild that stopped part-way
- Controller failure, or the configuration was lost
- Drives put back in the wrong order
- Array re-initialised by mistake
- Ransomware on the volume
Don’t force the array online, rebuild or re-create it. Label each drive with its slot, power down and call us.

Questions
Do you need the RAID controller?
Usually not. We rebuild arrays in software from images of the drives. Send notes on how the array was set up, and the controller if it’s practical.
Which files come back first?
Tell us which folders, databases or virtual machines matter most and we recover those first.
Ready to get your files back?
Book online and you get a job number by email straight away. Bring the laptop or drive to our London SE1 lab, or call us to arrange a courier collection from anywhere in the UK.
